I was out of my den, running. I had just hunted my food for the week, and I still had that rush of the kill. That sort of rush was one of the few things I got pleasure from now. After Jason and I had fought, my world had crumbled apart. His world probably did, too. The only difference was that he still had a pack. I had only had the den I had made, and the meat I hunted. Do normal wolves have dreams? I don't know.   I'm not exactly a normal wolf, though. I had dreams, and they were almost all of Jason. I think I cried in my sleep, too.
I was still running when there was an area where the trees started to thin out. My curiosity got to the best of me, of course. As I walked through the trees, there was a clearing. I was surprised that no wolves were there. Then I noticed a small turn in the clearing. I walked over to it to find that it led to a small ledge. The view was beautiful, and the breeze made your fur swish. There was a wolf sitting in front of me. I examined the fur, how their tail moved, and the way their ears twitched. "Jason," I mouthed. The shock overwhelmed me. "J- Jason," I said aloud now with a whisper. He whipped his head back. When he realized that it was me he said, "Oh,  hi, Kiera." I was barely able to choke out, "H- how are you?" He gave me a look. "Just dandy. And you?" he replied sarcastically.
"I'm.. Uh.. Fine, I guess."
"Oh, good."
"Can I talk to you?"
"Hm.. Let me think. No."
"But I-"
"Goodbye, Kiera," he said one and walked away. "Jason," I called, "wait! Please.." He just kept on walking. I felt like crying again, but I refused. I gave up and collapsed again. I sighed, knowing he would never forgive me. Suddenly, I heard a loud cracking sound. "What was that?" I half asked myself, half asked Jason. "Don't know and don't care." I looked around. It wasn't me; I felt fine. It wasn't Jason, obviously. I couldn't figure it out. Then I heard it again. The ground felt weird under me. I finally understood what the sound was. "Crap," I whispered to myself.
The top part of the ledge started to lean down toward the ground that was probably 50 feet below me. I was slipping, and I attempted to claw my way onto the part of the ledge that wasn't breaking. Sadly, that attempt failed. I figured he didn't know what was happening, so he wouldn't listen, but I called out, "Jason! Help me!" He looked back, "What?" When he noticed, he got wide- eyed and said, "Oh, god.. Kiera!"
He ran up to help me, but only ended up being too late. I lost my grasp, the ledge fell, and I slipped. I was free- falling through the air. "Jason!" I screamed out. "Kiera!" he called back. My life was flashing before my eyes. Once again, as I hit a branch that stuck out of the rocky wall, I blacked out.
